YSL STORE PARIS

Yves Saint Laurent is the French fashion house founded by Yves-Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent. The house and designer are often abbreviated as YSL. In 1964 Yves Saint Laurent launched his first women's fragrance - Y. This launch marked the first step in the diversification of the brand's activities and in 1965 YSL was named the king of Paris by the influential paper Woman's Wear Daily. The fragrance range continued to grow in the 70's with the launch of Rive Gauche for women. It's a state of mind, an attitude,
"Audacity, freedom and modernity, unrestrained Parisian elegance".
La Maison Saint Laurent expresses a unique style in between elegance and freedom.
It has constantly evolved and interacted with society, asserting itself resolutely as a player of the here and now. It embodies the modernity of every day and age, inviting women and men to break the rules, to create their own truths, over and above convention.
PRODUCTS
Fragrance is an invitation to a journey. The history of YSL fragrances is paved with success.
Ever since the creation of “Y” in 1964, YSL has produced complete olfactive sociological trackers. There is a societal dimension running through the brand, in the image of Monsieur Saint Laurent posing nude for the launch of his first fragrance for men, Pour Homme, in 1971.
L’Homme, La Nuit de L’Homme and L’Homme libre for men are major must-have references in the world of fragrance.
Opium and Paris are the brand’s emblematic women’s perfumes.
The latest women’s fragrance, Manifesto, launched in 2012, proposes a new statement of free, bold and excessive femininity.
Makeup showcases the highest technology in a jewel, featuring colors created to cover an unlimited palette of feelings, driven by Lloyd Simmonds, creative director YSL make up .
The absolute icons of YSL makeup are Touche Eclat – one Touche Eclat is sold every 10 seconds worldwide – Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils, Rouge Pur Couture and the very latest Vernis à Lèvres Rouge Pur Couture glossy stain, already number 1 in the gloss market in the brand’s main business countries.
Skincare brings together the most edgy science, glamour and sensory pleasure united around a radical viewpoint: youth is a state of mind that cannot live without science. Forever Youth Liberator, the new skincare line produced from glycobiology, is already positioned as a market leader in countries where it has been launched.
PRICE
YSL is a high end brand but their prices range from low to high in each different catagory that means their is something for everyone of every class. I find that their most expensive products seem to be the fashion and ,accessorize like bags, shoes and jewelry all the others are not that expensive like their makeup and skin care

PROMOTION
YSL use many avenues of advertising including
adverts

in store
billbords

.. so unless you are living under a stone you know of their exsistance

PACKAGING
Yves Saint Laurent was founded by designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner, Pierre Bergé in 1962, and the current logo was created by the graphic designer Cassandre. through the years the YSL logo has become as recognisable as Chanel's interlocked Cs or Louis Vuitton's LV but the recent announcement that Yves would be eliminated has provoked outcry from a number of commentators.
The new packaging - simple white block font lettering reading Saint Laurent Paris on top of a black background' has ruffled some online feathers, with Facebook users slamming the design as 'boring', 'disrespectful' and 'a cheap knock-off'.
The luxury brand's new creative director Hedi Slimane decided on the makeover, swapping the company's iconic monochrome logo of interlocking YSL letters (that has been around for more than half a century) with the fresh look.
new packaging

And although the famous signature will remain unaltered on handbags, lipsticks and shoes, there is no certainty that it will continue to be used as widely.

The packaging is very elegant, classy and sophisticated their main colors of use are gold and purple which i think it gives their product a sense of royalty and the illusion that it is expensive this really allows you to know you are purchasing a product of high quality i also think this is very important as the appearance is what attracts customers 1st that is what catches the eyes when we walk around stores that then give the opportunity for people to go and find out more
