PROJECT EVALUATION
our project this term was beauty and the brand we had to create 5 diverse looks for our chosen brand (evening, spring/summer, day, High Summer & Hair, Fragrance or Nails.not for us to copy straight from the look but for us to be inspired by. i was really worried at the beginning because i felt that it was a lot to do but as i got into it it actually started to become fun this also allowed me to become confident in my techniques and make up skills which i had struggled with previously i feel like i have grown more in my creativity and the way i interpret a look .I am proud of the hair techniques i have used but i feel i could have pushed it further and been more adventurous and edgy
i feel like even though my pictures were decent i could have done a bit more editing and a range of locations and positions on my photography i feel like this is something i will have to continue to work on as the industry is all about perfection, i should have tried to use all resources available to me also in uni and try and learn more advance editing techniques
i found researching on the brand a little frustrating because it seemed that there was not as much information on their beauty side as there was on their clothing range so that for me was tough but i did manage to get something ,i was really interested on the history of the brand and how many things we see in fashion was started from this brand and i was also amazed at how the brand carried itself with so much prestigiousness and elegance
i feel like my time management is still off and needs some serious working on as my work has suffered bit from it and in this line of work timing is everything, and also making sure i give myself enough room for errors because their were some points in which i had relayed on others for help and they had let me down or changed their mind at the last minute will also in future try to do a lot more testing before i go straight to the final.this will help show my development and progression from start to finish of a brief
i feel like this project has given me a boost of confidence to now go out on jobs and projects knowing what im doing, i also feel like it has pushed my personal portfolio and allows me to show my improved skills i would possibly like to work on more variety of skin tones as i have limited experience on others this and also i would like to collaborate with other members of the industry like photographers and fashion designers as this will help me build contacts i will try and develop in my own time but overall this project has been fun and educational
